Contests
VB Reads - Think Outside the BookCelebrate the joining of art and literature! Submit your original artwork based on To Kill a Mockingbird and you might win a prize! Judging is based on how well the art portrays the book’s themes, as well as on artistic merit and technical quality. Entry forms are available at all Virginia Beach libraries. Submit entries by Sunday, October 19.

Fiction Remix Contest
Remix the classic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird, using Storytelling Alice software and submit your creation for a chance to win a prize. Download the free software and work from home, or create your story remix in a library event. Open to ages 13 - 18. Parental permission form required with entry. Submit entries between September 1 and October 31.

Come to Princess Anne Library’s Computer Lab for a demonstration of Storytelling Alice, an innovative programming experience that allows you to create 3-D animated movies. Age 13 - 18.
